GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A section of westbound I-96 has been closed this afternoon due to multiple vehicle crashes reported along the interstate, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
The highway will remain closed near M-50 (Alden Nash Avenue) at Exit 52 to Lowell. Zero Visibility conditions due to slippery, snowy conditions it is still unknown who or how many have been injured in the pileup.
MDOT reported the crashes began around 1:45 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 17, data was obtained through the agencies online traffic crash map.
According to MLive.com the Michigan State Police are currently investigating the incident.
