ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AMN) — An active shooter alert was activated at the University of Michigan at 5:00 pm on Saturday. The University has now given the all clear.
The university issued the alert just before 5 p.m. for Mason Hall, an academic building.
The alert stated “UM Emergency Alert — Mason Hall Run Hide Fight.”
40 minutes later, the school sent another alert saying there “does not appear to be an active threat to the community.” The department asked students to continue to stay clear of the area and said they were investigating.
There are reports that some teenagers at Mason Hall were popping balloons, which led to the alert.
