May 3, 2019 (AMN) – National Small Business Week kicks off May 5 this year. Sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration from May 5-11, 2019. Each year we come together to celebrate the contributions of small business’s in our community that support the local economy. Whether it’s a t-shirt Shop, bakery, newspaper or new realtors they are dreams come true for community members and owners across Albion. Entrepreneurs are the innovators that drive markets, competitions, and create new employment opportunities for small communities across the nation. As Albion continues to regain its foothold over the past few years and create future opportunities we see inspecting stories all around us. There are many for profit and non-profit businesses in Albion and Calhoun County as a whole. These ventures take time to grow and mature which makes community support critical to the success of any business. Let’s shop local not just this week, but year round. The U.S. Small Business Administration and SCORE Association will host a free, 2-Day Virtual Conference during National Small Business Week. The conference will take place Tuesday, May 7 – Wednesday, May 8. Registration is free to the public. Participate in all the webinars or pick and choose the topics you like. You will also have the opportunity to meet other business owners and chat with industry experts. The Virtual Conference offers all the best parts of an in-person conference, but without the hassle of traveling.
