Michigan Office of the Auditor General – Audit of Bridge Inspection Program

July 31, 2019 Lansing, MI – The Office of the Auditor General is conducting a performance audit of the Bridge Inspection Program within the Michigan Department of Transportation. One of the objectives of the audit is to assess the effectiveness of MDOT’s efforts to administer quality control and quality assurance over bridge inspections, load ratings, and associated data and procedures for MDOT bridges as well as bridges owned by our Local Agency partners.
