June 20, 2021 | Coldwater, MI | AMN – an evening full of severe weather led to the touch down of a tornado in Coldwater, MI. A trained Nation Weather Service spotter confirmed seeing the funnel cloud yesterday evening. Weather sweeping through southern Michigan led to Severe Thunderstorm watches and warnings being issued on nearly an hourly basis. High winds, hail, and flooding were reported from the PawPaw area as far east as Quincy and Adrian, MI. Remember to have a plan for severe weather events in your area. A siren may not always sound so you’ll want to have a method to receive storm warnings during overnight hours whether on local radio or television. Albion, Tecumseh and Battle Creek saw heavy rain and high winds but no damage reported.
