March 13, 2020 Albion, MI (AMN) – Everyone has a responsibility when it comes to preventing the spread of any disease, including COVID-19. The Calhoun County Health Department has made online resources available for those seeking further information on the Coronavirus. We must continue good habits such as disinfecting surfaces and commonly touched items to washing hands and staying home when we’re sick.

The state has closed all K-12 schools for the next few weeks in an effort to prevent the spread of the disease. Many local and regional events have been cancelled in an effort to maintain social distancing. It is recommending that you purchase only what you need for the next week or two and not empty store shelves of toilet paper and hand sanitizer using the the practice of panic buying. There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Albion or the remainder of Calhoun County, MI.
