June 13, 2019 Boston, MA (AMN) — Congratulations to the city of St. Louis and the Blues! For the first time since 1967, the St. Louis Blues have won a Stanley Cup Final in a masterpiece of a series against the Boston Bruins. Coming down to a winner takes all game seven the Blues went on to dominate 4-1 in the final score. In net for the Blues was Jordan Binnington making an impressive 32 saves out of 33. For Boston, in net, they had Tuukka Rask, who while also remarkable let in four goals on 20 attempts. Binnnington by far had the most impressive performance, making save after unbelievable save from start to finish. However, it was the Blues who struck first on a redirected shot. The Blues would continue to go on to score three more before the Bruins responded, but it was too little too late for the Bruins. By far the MVP of the game was Binnington. The Bruins deserve a lot of credit, not once did they give up during the game or the series, they played with the hearts of champions. The entirety of the NHL Playoffs this year goes to show just how crazy sports can be. With the Stanley Cup coming to a close we now begin to enjoy the Hockey off-season and all that comes with it.
