May 26, 2021 | Albion, MI | AMN – Wednesday evening we may just be lucky enough to catch the Aurora Borealis here in southern Michigan. According to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) a G1 (Minor) geomagnetic storm watch has been issued for 25 May with a G2 (Moderate) watch for 26 May due to the arrival of multiple CMEs (Coronal Mass Ejection) from 22-2. These solar flares ejected from the sun (Region 2824) on May 23 and 24. Moderate activity (G2) May lead to a 1% of radio blackout but there’s definitely nothing to worry about. On the other hand, the possibility of clear skies & a chance that we may catch a glimpse of the mesmerizing Norther Lights is amazing.
