FAA & Boeing ground all 737 MAX 8 & MAX 9 aircraft.

March 13, 2019 (AMN) — All MAX 8 and 9 models in the air right now ‘will be grounded’ today as soon as they land, Trump told reporters during a live press conference a few moments ago. The president said he has spoken with Boeing executives and they agree with the decision, adding he hopes they will come up with a plan to address the planes’ issues quickly.

The grounding is effective “immediately,” he said.  The jets will be grounded “until further notice” because “The safety of the American people, of all people, is our paramount concern.”

In a statement from Boeing during the past hour Boeing stated it will tell the FAA to ground its 737 max planes “out of an abundance of caution.” Currently there is no data to suggest a grounding of the fleet but Boeing has begun to support many countries banning the aircraft until the accident cause is found.
