Albion Says Goodbye 2020, Hello 2021!

December 31, 2020 Abion, MI (AMN) — 2020 brought many unexpected surprises but we have adapted here in Albion and many residents will continue to look out for another. Millions across the globe remain in lockdown as COVID infections take their toll. Many of the worlds celebrations will be muted as we take precautions & watch fireworks from the safety of our own homes or in small gatherings. We light a candle in honor of those we have lost and in support of our frontline workers & healthcare heroes. The candle burns as a symbol of respect & hope for all. Let’s support local businesses more than ever and spread the good word as we all look to get ourselves into “Good Trouble.” Let’s bring inclusivity and diversity to the forefront of every conversation when it comes to equality within our community. Let’s all support one another no matter our race, gender, or personal preferences. With the election far behind us and the swearing in ahead of us let ring in the new year together. Let’s celebrate 2021 by building back better, brick by brick. We “Walk the Beat & We Stand Together, Albion Strong!

Welcome 2021! This year we look forward to a year filled with hope and excitement. We aim to follow the long road back to being able to celebrate Winterfest, Blues at The Bohm, and Music Mondays. 2020 changed the way view each one-another and how we get together. We cherish the people we miss, and the events we cancelled a little more like the Festival of the Forks. We dream of next summer and bringing back our 5K’s, Fun Runs, car shows, & movies at the Bohm to fill our schedules each weekend. Our weeks will still be packed with Zoom meetings, Facetime & other methods to virtually connecting with one another. We persevered by adjusting to the times using online platforms to host virtual events.
