9 New Coronavirus Outbreaks in Michigan Schools

January 19, 2021 Marshall, MI (AMN) — An update from the State of Michigan has included 9 new outbreak locations among Michigan Schools Monday. These new outbreaks coupled with the 3 announced over the past few weeks being the total number of COVID cases to nearly 540,000 to date. Calhoun County is in region 5 where 31 cases broke out in long term care facilities followed by 8 in manufacturing and construction work areas. 2 cases occurred at local social gatherings, 1 at a religious service, 1 in jail, 1 case occurred in a K-12 setting, and 2 at area universities/colleges.
