The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has issued an emergency ‘Do Not Eat’ fish advisory for all fish in Beaver Dam Pond and Helmer Creek in Springfield due to perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS).
An update on the recent PFAS contamination investigation in and around the Helmer Dickman intersection. Along with water well collection and testing, the next step in this investigation was fish collection in the Beaver Dam Pond and Helmer Creek by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR).
