Al Kaline, Detroit Tigers legend, dies at age 85

April 6, 2020 Bloomfield Hills, MI (AMN) – Detroit Tiger and Hall of Famer Al Kaline passed away Monday afternoon in home in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He was 85. He is survived by his wife, Madge Louise Hamilton, and son Mark. Cause of death is not available at this time.

Al played 22 seasons with the Detroit Tigers amassing 10 Golden Glove Awards and played in the 1968 World Series. Al was not only known for his time with the Tigers but also as a kind soul. He will be missed.

Al Kaline, born Dec. 19, 1934 in Baltimore, Maryland, is most known as “Mr. Tiger” and his 22 years playing for the Detroit Tigers. Kaline was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980.
